An in-depth research using both primary (surveys of people with disabilities and professionals) and secondary data (literature review of more than 120 articles) to gather information about i) if and how technologies can effectively support people with disabilities in engaging and maintaining healthy lifestyles, ii) what are the potential benefits related to the use of technologies that enhance participation in sport and physical exercise, dietary behaviours and the adoption of healthier lifestyles, and iii) what are the unmet needs of people with disabilities related to the use of technologies for accessing healthy habits.
